It seemed too good to be true..Hey i don't mind quitting my job for this leh, if its true.. Ok here is the catch, see the comment below made by Sakae Sushi founder, Mr Foo and his management.. (See various media report below)
"Yes, the salary is high but look, it's a tough job. You stand on your feet, work weekends and it's dirty and wet. Our crew earn less but they get a chance to move up or move out. Most dishwashers don't," he noted.
Although Mr Foo previously stated that the job was nine hours a day, brand and communications manager Gregg Lewis said yesterday that the job involved a 12-hour workday and six-day workweek. Working hours were from 10.30am to 10.30pm, with breaks included.
Mr Lewis told The Straits Times that the $3,000 salary was inclusive of overtime pay, and the 72-hour workweek requirement was therefore not against the rules set by the Act.
So its a 12 hour job, six days a week and inclusive of (guarantee) overtime pay.. Now i know why no takers.. Its a marketing gimmicks that leave a bad taste on many.. Remember this, a S$3000 pay cheque always comes with a huge responsibilities..
Look at these two ST report (above & below).. Why Singaporean are avoiding these jobs? Are Singaporean too highly educated to land themselves in these jobs?
